For the former head of the Beta Band, the 5th solo album is a musical rejection of the Brexit and a plea for openness and international understanding, which is also reflected soundwise in a multicultural look. Mason’s typical way of singing (incl. head voice passages) and his always apparent affection for dub effects play a role here as well as picking up Brit-folk, lively electronized uplift Brit-pop with clap-appeal and gospel background. A cosmopolitan musical pop-oriented as well as timeless look incl. extensive, varied instrumentations, including a musical contribution by Pakistani singer Javed Bashir.
