“Up” was released in 1998 and is the eleventh studio album by R. E.M. The album, which includes the singles “Daysleeper”, “Lotus”, “Suspicion” and “At My Most Beautiful”, is inspired by electronic music and uses a wide range of instruments to create a dreamy pop landscape that is thoughtful and atmospheric.

This deluxe 25th anniversary extended edition also features a complete, previously unreleased live set from the band’s appearance on the 90s hit TV series Party of Five. It was the band’s first album without drummer Bill Berry. The album was influenced by electronic music, and Stipe explained that several songs addressed the “religious-spiritual versus scientific-technological-modern age”. It reached number 3 on the Billboard 200 and number 1 in the German charts.
