I was living in a shared flat at the time and I knew from a roommate who had already seen the Pink Floyd in Germany in 1972 that they were going to play a new play. An endlessly long unknown piece of music that starts with a heartbeat …!

Well – in December 72 you didn’t really know this long musical epic yet. I had already heard it on the LP “Tour 72” – yes, I played it up and down. But there was nothing of heartbeat yet. It was still in the shell construction, so to speak, in an early stage.
