Martin Stadtfeld’s career as a pianist began with a piano from a clearance sale. At the age of seven, his career aspiration was already clear: concert pianist. Early on he explores the rules and secrets of counterpoint and harmony; as a young student he joins the class of Lev Natochenny in Frankfurt and wins first prizes in Paris and Bolzano.
The sensational victory at the Leipzig Bach Competition in 2002 becomes the starting point of a career that takes Martin Stadtfeld to the most important festivals and the most important concert halls and orchestras.

Recitals with the music of Bach, the sonatas of Beethoven, German Romanticism and orchestral invitations with the piano concertos of Mozart to Rachmaninoff take Martin Stadtfeld all over the world in the last two decades.
