In the three-part series L’Hommage – Music for the Sun King, recorder player Jan Nigges and harpsichordist Alexander von Heißen dedicate themselves to high baroque chamber music as it might have been heard at the court of the French King Louis XIV in his private chambers or in the salons of the courtiers surrounding him. The second volume of the series is dedicated to the important Baroque composers François and Louis Couperin and Anne Danican Philidor.
