Frank Turner & The Sleeping Souls today announce the release of a new album, ‘Live In Newcastle’, due out on April 24, 2020, via Xtra Mile Recordings/Polydor Records. Captured at O2 City Hall Newcastle last November.Fran has always had a charm and persona that resonates with his huge fanbase and none more so when live, this is exactly what exudes from this fine recording capturing Frank and his band at their very finest tossing out songs on a whim that just resonate with each and every single person in the room. Show number 2429 as Frank loves to share each and every time he hits the stage over his twenty-one-year solo career which has made him such a prolific live performer, and one which is so comfortable on the stage as it really is his second home.

Frank’s ability to turn his tunes into the beauty of story-telling is an art form from days of old that is often lost in the modern-day business we call “show”, with pop-up bands that come and go as quick as the one-hit wonders they regurgitate, but not here. What you get is a collection of beautiful, up-beat, up-tempo and melancholy stories interwoven with beautiful melodic songwriting that just wraps up around you like a warm blanket on a cool summer evening.

You get a collection of twenty of Frank’s finest fan favorites that will bring a smile to your face and have you singing along in no time, reminiscing of better days gone by when we were all crammed into venues swaying to the music live and loud. Those days will be back one day, but for now, you can envelope yourself in some of the finest British song-writing available and lose yourself in the mediocrity of isolation blues and the joy that is Frank Turner & The Sleeping Souls.
