In my book, Bola Sete is the Spell of the guitar. I appreciate his musicality and virtuosity even more than other legendary guitarists of various genres such as Baden Powell, Django Reinhardt, Charlie Byrd, Freddie King, not to mention those crappy rock guitarists. His versatility displayed on many albums/gigs is simply mind-blowing, ranging from Flamenco ~ Bossa Nova ~ Straight Ahead Jazz ~ Real Deal Blues. No wonder, Dizzy loved playing with him.
