The T.P. Orchestre Poly-Rythmo de Cotonou hail from the West African nation of Benin. T.P. stands for the french “Tout-Puissant” which means “All Mighty”. The band formed in 1966 and have released around 50 albums and well over 100 singles. Though legendary back in the day and long sought after by crate diggers and vintage African pop fans the band had not played outside of African until 2009.
