One star shines more than others in the firmament of this summer’s events. It is the concert of the Sicilian pianist Sade Mangiaracina, who yesterday in Porto Rotondo captured the emotions of those present. In the archaeological site of the coastal Tower of Porto Rotondo, with the moon, stars and fireworks as a frame. The musician, in the company of Marco Bardoscia on bass and Gianluca Brugnano to the battery, presented “my women,” the work is devoted to the eight great women of history, with a gallery of portraits of women: Rosa Parks, Amelia Hearheart, Coco Chanel, Anne Frank, Mala Yousafzai, Rita Atria, Frida Kahlo, Aung San and His Kyi. But also a tribute to the great Nelson Mandela. The mix between piano, double bass and Drums is perfect for a classy jazz that gives catchy and humming melodic lines. And then suddenly the unexpected fireworks of another event, right there on the sea, while the Sicilian pianist lashed the 88 keys of the grand piano between dizzying rhythms. A magic that also left room for the entry of Paolo Fresu who entered the atmosphere created by the trio giving a musical moment of great level.
