OVERSÁEZ (Sáez/Westergaard/Ott) is a piano trio based in Berlin. In January 2025, the trio recorded their debut album in the legendary MPS-Studio in Villingen. OVERSÁEZ combines a mix of European classical music, jazz elements, and open improvisation. The music is characterized by a blend of structured, thoughtful compositions and free, intuitive moments. „Abstract Emotions” is a reflection of the struggles and complexities I’ve faced over the past year. It’s been a time of loss, overwhelming feelings and confusion followed – feelings that often seemed impossible to articulate. With words, we attempt to define our common human experience, but words can never truly capture the depth of what we feel. We may have to accept that others will never truly understand our journey, and that we in turn may never fully understand theirs. Through this album, I attempt to bridge that gap, offering my music as a way to translate those abstract emotions into something tangible, something to share with the world.
