In giving shape to the fifth album, Degenerate, in the Phonographic market from June 9, the composer, pianist and guitarist from São Paulo Nichoal Abdo was inspired by the dark corners of the souls and works of erudite composers such as the Czech-Austrian Gustav Mahler (1860 – 1911) and Heitor Villa-Lobos (1887 – 1959), in addition to what he calls the “dark side” of the music of the American jazz pianist Brad Mehldau.Abdo translated these shadows into the six authorial themes that, next to the ciranda what beautiful eyes! (Villa-Lobos), make up the repertoire of the Instrumental Album Degenerate.
