JAMESDAVIS formerly known as James Davis is made up of three siblings, fraternal twins Jess and Rey and their brother Auston Reynolds. The name of the group comes from their family, taking the middle name of all the men (James) and the maiden name of their mother (Davis). Jess was signed at the age of 15 and worked with songwriter Harold Lilly as part of her artist development. Rey was mentored by Leon Ware and all three grew up around the music industry. The three began playing together during a rehearsal when they were growing up. Jess described the rehearsal as her and Rey “bickering” when Auston stepped between them and began humming a melody into the microphone. Jess and Rey joined Auston with all three playing together for hours.
