Norwegian drummer/composer Gard Nilssen debuts on We Jazz Records with his new album “Family” featuring the 17-piece Supersonic Orchestra.

The Supersonic Orchestra is a veritable who’s who of Scandinavian jazz (and beyond) and is one of the most exciting large groups in the current international jazz scene. Recorded at the Mondriaan Jazz Festival in The Hague, the Netherlands, the ensemble presents itself in top form on the 8 tracks, which are all original compositions by Gard Nilssen and André Roligheten.
