When Falco embarked on his “Emotional” world tour in September 1986, he was at the peak of his career: the fourth album of the same name was #1 in the album charts in Germany and Austria, he had superstar status in the German-speaking world and in the largest part of Europe and “Rock Me Amadeus” from the previous album “Falco 3” brought the Viennese eccentric to number 1 on the Billboard “Hot 100” charts in March of that year – as the only artist in the USA to ever achieve this historic peak with a German-language song could climb.
