The tracks that make up Dark Liquid Ribbon are from an unreleased archive and were first put together in 2012 as a result of some spontaneous lo-fi recording and processing experiments. These were eventually overdubbed with improvised drones on guitar and analogue synth and split into two long form pieces. The words for the tracks were discovered written on a wall during some weeks spent in Bristol around the same time, and their meaning is a mystery, but they seem to make a strange kind of sense recontextualised into track titles.
