Claudio Bergamin, born in 1979, studied trumpet and flugelhorn at the Academy of Contemporary Music in Zurich and at the Hochschule für Musik in Basel. He is a laureate of the Swiss Jazz Award and the namesake of several important jazz ensembles. The Rottweiler bassist German Klaiber, well known to the public, studied in Bern, Stuttgart and the USA. He holds a professorship at the University of Art, Design and Popular Music Freiburg and works as a lecturer at the Musikhochschule Trossingen and at numerous jazz workshops. He is also a member of numerous bands such as the Norbert Gottschalk Quartet and “Sorry it’s Jazz” and works as a freelance musician

The third member, Benedikt Bürgin, has dedicated himself to the drums. He studied at several Swiss universities and attended master classes with well-known drummers such as Eric Harland and Steve Jordan. Stylistically, in addition to jazz, he is also at home in funk, chanson, rock and worldmusic, among others.

All three together explore the possibilities without a harmony instrument in this line-up and interpret jazz standards as well as originals in exclusively odd time signatures and have mainstream modern jazz in their luggage for the evening at the Kapuziner – from lyrical dreamy, pulsating groovy to up tempo swing.
