Ann Hathaway (sometimes spelled “Anne”) started her career around 1946, She was described in Billboard Magazine as “a luscious brunette” and mostly performed in nightclubs in New York, including the 881 Club. She recorded for Keynote Records in 1946 with Ellis Larkins and sang with a few big bands, and recorded briefly with Colpix Records before she recorded this album, her only one as a solo artist. Two the songs released by Colpix, Stormy Weather and The Very Thought Of You, appear on this album.
