Time For A Cry, the new album by Annick Tangorra and Alain Jean Marie will be played live for the first time at the Baiser Salé! The album, due for release on 25 February 2022, was recorded in the Lutheran Church of Saint-Marcel in Paris. With natural reverberation, texts by Annick Tangorra and instrumental music by Alain Jean-Marie, this album is a mix of jazz standards and original compositions. Having already collaborated together on Annick Tangorra’s album Springtime (2014), the duo is back together for new musical adventures that we can’t wait to discover.
Annick Tangorra on Time For A Cry: “Time For A Cry is, in my eyes, the album that symbolises a wonderful encounter with the Master Alain Jean-Marie around jazz standards but also around his music that was until then only instrumental. He agreed that I should write original lyrics to his beautiful and inspiring music. I have an unfailing admiration for Alain, who is a musician who possesses this science of accompaniment, it is a beautiful dream come true.
