It is with great pleasure that I present this new album “Dialogues”. A long-term project which finally brings together two masterpieces by Pierre Boulez on the record: “Domaines” in its original version with ensemble and “Dialogue de l ‘ombre double’ which is the direct emanation of it. Dialogue of two pieces written 17 years apart which perfectly illustrate the evolution of the composer’s thought and style, themselves framed by two works now emblematic of the repertoire of solo clarinet, “Assonance” by Michael Jarrell and “Bug” by Bruno Mantovani Intergenerational dialogue between composers with different aesthetics but united by mutual artistic respect and the conviction that the clarinet is the ideal medium for their speech.
